A Cinderella moment catapults actor to stardom

The Hans Landa character was portrayed by Christoph Waltz.
Using astrology to look at Christoph Waltz's quantum jump into international stardom

The life-affirming energies of Chiron

Today we will look at the life-affirming energies of Chiron.

So-called mainstream astrology has got Chiron wrong, saying it represents wounding.

As far back as 1999, the Magi Society revealed the true meaning of Chiron in their book “Magi Astrology – the Key to Success in Love and Money”. After massive amounts of research, they concluded that Chiron represents charisma, marriage, emotional ties, promises, career and so forth.

These interpretations are diametrically opposed to “wounding” – and as a long-term Magi Astrology devotee, I can look at a situation or person and “know” at least some of the planetary aspects I will find in the chart. The reason for this is that Magi Astrology symbolisms are consistent and unless you are a numbskull, you will start to “see” them around you when you’ve done it for a couple of decades.

An actor's Cinderella moment

Yesterday, Quentin Tarantino’s creation “Hans Landa” came into my YouTube feed and I decided to do a blog post about Christoph Waltz’s Cinderella moment.

Because I have no doubt that a so-called Cinderella transit or progression will underpin his stepping into the limelight and gaining international recognition.

Waltz had enjoyed long-term success in German theatre, but being catapulted like this carries typical Cinderella energy.

The German-Austrian actor has jokingly said “it never happens” that an internationally unknown actor such as himself gets the kind of opportunity that Quentin Tarantino presented him with.

On August 3 of 2008, transiting Chiron was retrograding towards a quincunx with Waltz's Jupiter - thereby anchoring the Cinderella energy. Meanwhile, transiting Mars and natal Pallas offered more insight about the opportunity - Waltz was offered a career-defining (Jupiter and Chiron) role as a method actor (Pallas) warrior (Mars).

The astrological Cinderella

In Magi Astrology, Cinderella experiences are said to derive from the combinations of Chiron with Venus, Jupiter or Neptune. For instance, a positive transit by Chiron to Venus can result in a Cinderella experience, as can a positive transit by Jupiter to Chiron.

A key signature of a Cinderella experience is that the subject would suddenly and “unexpectedly” attain increased status – an astrological quantum jump.

Even though the main Jupiter-Chiron transit is shown in the geocentric chart (above) we can look at Christoph Waltz's heliocentric chart for more clues.

Transiting Earth is conjunct his Chiron, thereby increasing his charisma and likeability. The Jupiter-Chiron midpoint is conjunct natal Uranus, saying he's getting boosted into fame and stardom. There are also fabulous transits by Venus and Jupiter to natal Mercury and Venus, speaking of success (Jupiter) and money (Venus) in acting (Mercury)

Saving a writer and a story

During that August 3 audition, Waltz did more than land a top role - he saved an artistic vision and a large-scale movie production.

In an interview with Film4, Quentin Tarantino has spoken about the long development of what was to become “Inglorious Basterds,” how the original idea was too large for a movie – how he years later revisited his characters and devised a story that could become a film.

One of those characters was Hans Landa.

On Friday August 1, 2008, Quentin Tarantino and producer Lawrence Bender flew to Berlin to cast actors in their upcoming film. On the Saturday, two German actors were cast, but Bender has said that Tarantino was feeling “off” that evening.

“At about seven or eight o’clock in the morning on Sunday, he called us down to his room,” Bender said.

Tarantino had said he might have written a role that could not be cast.

“If we can’t find this person, I don’t think we should make the movie.”

Two hours later, Christoph Waltz walked into the casting room.

The Jupiter-Chiron midpoint was providing a lucky break for Tarantino's large-scale entertainment venture (Uranus) and on that day the Sun was boosting his career and public image (Chiron) - thereby saving him from a pumpkin moment.

Saving a large-scale production

As a co-producer, Lawrence Bender was controlling (Saturn) the money (Venus) of the mass-media (Uranus) creative venture (Chiron). He, too, stood to lose a lot if the production could not go ahead. On August 3, the transiting Sun was conjunct and parallel his Uranus, thereby breathing life into his excitement, fame, industry and entertainment (Uranus) alignment.

At the same time, the Jupiter-Chiron midpoint was aspecting his natal Neptune and Pluto, creating a lucky moment for his creative (Neptune) big-business venture (Pluto).
